- A counselor usually helps you choose a direction, often with assessments, and is common in schools. A coach helps you act on a goal you already have or are forming: planning, preparing, and practicing. Carmen does some of both, and leans toward action.
- Can AI replace a human career coach?
- Not for everything. AI is available any time, costs far less, and is good for thinking out loud, planning, and practice. A human coach brings judgment from lived experience and a network. Many people use AI day to day and a human for the big decisions.
